The overall task and responsibility of the role is to with a proactive approach oversee existing and new customers that are connected through API. This includes ensuring commercial and technical optimization, maintenance, and revenue growth of existing and new partnerships. Important to monitor performance impact, mapping done by customers etc on a daily/weekly basis and actively work to improve relationships internally and externally. We can offer you a workplace where you can be based anywhere in the World, but preferably this role is based in Palma/Mallorca. You will be part of the Accommodation team.
As the Technical Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving end-to-end API integrations with new clients as well as optimizing existing connections. Externally, you will work directly with our customers' sales and technical teams on a regular basis to ensure the B2B team can deliver.
This role is responsible for providing expertise on how to maximize the distribution of Stena Line Travel Groups B2B accommodation portfolio into Clients channels through driving best practices among the Sales Community, developing and managing the delivery and visibility of our hotel portfolio and automating reports and tools to be consumed by our key stakeholders (internal teams or customers).
Scope covers all B2B sales regions and attention to API Core Clients is prioritized, but support on Long-tail / Digital Sales is also provided.
Ensure Adoption of Commercial Excellence & Projects Initiatives focused on B2B sales by providing content and expertise and follow up to ensure implementation is effectively done and new requirements are gathered and implemented.
Support Sales Managers and clients’ demands, by proactively analyzing accounts configuration, identifying gaps / opportunities & product display status, draw conclusions and present them to Sales Managers / Clients, ensure completion/follow up from Sales Manager.
Mapping development requirements, support users / FTP creations, Crawler and adoption by Sales Managers ensuring Core clients are correctly set up.
Maintain daily contact with B2B sales departments (KAMs etc), ensuring optimization tools and reports are adopted through smooth communication flow and continuous feedback for improvement purposes.
Represent the company at client meetings if required, which aim to support deepdive optimization requirements and their performance with Stena Line Travel Group, as well as virtual workshops, trade shows etc.
It is a role of expertise, entrusted to manage most complex issues with clients on API Distribution, managing the optimization and maximizing clients.
Skills:
Comprehensive knowledge of distribution channels in travel industry
Strong team playing skills, Ability to work in team as well as individually
Project management and ideation skills
Must be comfortable working in a fast paced multicultural and constantly changing organization
Good knowledge from day to day use of SQL, XML, JSON
Knowledge of G-Suite (Sheets, Doc, Slides).
Multilingual position, English is a must, other languages are highly recommended
Strong presentation, verbal and written communication
Ability to work with tight deadlines
Analytical thinking
Organized, good listener and on point summarizing techniques
Creative mind / open mind. Out of the box thinker
Hands on / Can do attitude
Experience:
3 to 5 years experience in travel industry, being 1 to 2 years experience within the online accomodation distribution business in optimization-related roles
Previous experiences in commercial and analytical role/position with KPI tracking
