As the Head of Accounting, you’ll hold comprehensive responsibility for the work within the finance department. You’ll oversee a talented finance team, manage statutory accounting, and ensure timely internal and external reporting. You’ll be part of the executive management team, playing an important role in decision-making and strategic planning. The role is based in Helsingborg and includes occasional travel to our offices in Wroclaw and Palma, enhancing collaboration with our international teams, external accounting firms, legal contracts, and banks.

You might have experience leading a smaller team or shown leadership in project-based roles and are eager to take on greater responsibilities. This role is not just strategic; it also requires hands-on work to ensure smooth daily operations and high-quality financial practices. The ideal candidate is always looking for ways to optimize workflows, leverage AI tools, and implement innovative solutions. You should be able to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Manage and show the way for our smaller finance team, consisting of three dedicated colleagues, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
- Lead and manage monthly and annual financial closings, ensuring accurate balance sheet and income statement reporting across all companies.
- Oversee accurate accruals for expenses for invoices not approved/received before month-end.
- Perform monthly reconciliations and provide clear explanations for all balance accounts.
- Manage tax calculations, VAT, and tax declarations, and lead tax audits.
- Develop and implement effective and standardized accounting processes.
- Maintain strong documentation practices and compliance with statutory archiving requirements.
- Engage with authorities, auditors, insurance companies, and tax advisors.
- Ensure thorough documentation for reporting to Kammarkollegiet.
What Will Help You Succeed:
- A university degree in Business Administration, Finance, or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of experience in accounting or auditing.
- Proven experience in a leadership or team management role.
- A solid understanding of and experience working with Swedish accounting regulations.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to multitask.
- Fluency in English, with additional languages such as a Scandinavian language or Spanish considered a plus.
Nice to have:
- Experience working in Microsoft Dynamics NAV, or Business Central.
Our Recruitment Process:
First, you’ll start with a 30 minute digital chat with HR to get to know each other.
Then, you’ll have a 30-45 minute digital meeting with our Head of Finance.
Next, you will have an in-person meeting at our Helsingborg office with the Head of Finance and General Manager, lasting around an hour.
Finally, you’ll have the opportunity to meet some of the team members you'll be leading.
